Tangential Chasers

    Description/benefits:

  • Can be reground for 80% of original length, providing long, economical life
  • Do not need to be precision ground as a set
  • Chasers of a given set do not need to be reground in equal amounts, and do not need to be replaced as a set
  • Can accommodate end grinds for positive, hand or self-leading feeds
  • Accommodate cutting grinds on both ends, enabling same chaser to cut both left-hand and right-hand threads
  • Roughing and finishing features available to improve finish or to thread difficult-to-cut materials
  • Can be supplied with "centering throats" where high concentricity is required or to offset lack of rigidity of long workpieces

Thread Rolls

Reamers

    Description/benefits:

  • Solid, replaceable blade, and composite type reamers available for use with Landis "T" type revolving die heads that use a threading, reaming, and chamfering attachment
  • 1/8" through 6" nominal pipe sizes
  • Reamers, Cutting-of Tools, Grooving Tools, and Victaulic Type Grooving Tools available for Landis Pipe Threading and Cutting-off Machines

Cutter Discs

    Description/benefits:

  • 6", 7", and 8" O.D. Cutter Discs available for use with Landis No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 Roller Pipe Cutters
  • 5" O.D. Cutter Discs are available for B and O cut-off machines

BD Button Dies

    Description/benefits:

  • Economical non-opening tools used to roll small diameter, quality threads and knurls
  • #2 to 3/8" thread range
  • Must be used with a reversing spindle unit
  • Two models:
  • No. 1-1/2 BD has five die bodies; produces #0 to #12 (1.5-5.5mm) threads
  • No. 3 BD has two die bodies; produces 1/4" to 3/8" (6-10 mm) threads

Landis Style Thread Rolling Heads

    Description/benefits:

  • Interchangeable helix angle bushings allow the same Landis head to produce UNF, UNC, metric, and other thread forms
  • Allow left-hand threading with the same head when face plate and bushings are changed

Two types:

  • TRSB - Nonrevolving head that is ideal for turret lathes, hand and automatic screw machines, and other stationary tool applications
  • TRRB - Revolving head for bar automatics and other live spindle machines, and for tapping, drilling, and threading machines such as Landis 10TRM and Landmaco

Landis Style /ALCO Thread Rolling Heads

    Description/benefits:

  • Economical choice for utilitarian, repetitive jobs
  • Separate heads required for right-hand and left-hand threading
  • Standard carbide roll shaft bushings provide long tool life
  • Available as stationary or revolving tools
  • Used for same types of applications as Landis TRSB and TRRB heads
  • Nineteen heads available to fit your applications for 5/32" to 2-1/4" and 4 to 56 mm O.D. threads

13/16" JR Quardlan Rolling Heads

    Description/benefits:

  • Designed specifically for rolling NPSM threads on thin wall lamp tubing
  • Feature four thread rolls to spread rolling pressure evenly and prevent tubing collapse
  • One set of roll holders, used with rolls, covers the head’s 1/8" to 3/8" NPSM range
  • Can be used with Landis 10TRM Thread Rolling Machine or machines of other manufacture

 


Three series of thread cutting, opening type die heads are available:

LANDMATIC • LANDEX • LANCO

  • Heat Treated - die heads produce commercial tolerance and finish threads; and Acme and other coarse-pitch threads

    Uses chaser holders which attach to the face of the die head

Landmatic

    Description/benefits:

  • Stationary, nonrevolving tools
  • Self-opening, manually closed
  • Supplied for chuckers, turret lathes, hand and automatic screw machines where the part rotates and the threading tool is stationary

Landex

    Description/benefits:

  • Revolving tools
  • Ideal for automatic screw machines and other live spindle units where part is stationary
  • JN Heat Treated is yoke opened and closed
  • J Heat Treated is self-opening, yoke closed

Lanco

    Description/benefits:

  • Revolving heads for use with hand, semi-automatic and automatic threading machines, such as Landis Landmaco

  • Four Heat Treated Types:

      R Type - straight ("bolt") threading; jam cutting NPT and BSTP taper pipe threads (without ream and chamfer)

      RX Type - large capacity threading

      S Type - Receding chaser heads that are used to produce longer length, precision API tape pipe thread

      T Type - Incorporates an internal trip reaming attachment and is used to simultaneously thread, ream, and chamfer NPT and BSTP pipe
